DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

Paolo requested a design containing a shark and the nine planets and having a Maori look, to cover an old tattoo he has on his shoulder.

We thought of incorporating the planets (here to symbolize a free spirit aiming at the stars) inside the body of the shark (adaptability and strength), making the shark edges more evident by adding along them some Maori motifs, such as korus (rebirth, new beginning) and waves (continuity in change).

I have skimmed through the book and become so very interested in the contents... Very good and suitable for a self-education in Tattoo-ology! - Anne, London
