DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

The manaia is a creature that has the head of a bird, body of a man and tail of a fish to symbolize the union of sky, earth and sea, upon which it offers protection as a guardian angel.

This manaia represents to Lauren, who requested it, her partner, and contains on his neck the head letter of his name, D.

The koru symbolizes life and new start and the double spiral is a symbol of life and eternity.

The three fingers are a symbol of balance among the elements.
