DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

Moana means in Polynesian languages "ocean", and that´s the name we gave to this design for the hip requested by Leilani to symbolize her love for family and the ocean, represented here by the waves through which the turtle swims (family). The manta inside the shell is a symbol of freedom and protection, and the shell itself includes protection symbols like the hands of the tiki, and of prosperity like the fish hook.

Tiare flowers symbolize beauty and femininity.

That´s a great idea and the book looks fab. I wish there were more animal outlines though... - TatFan, Denver
