DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:
This tattoo of a stylized caduceus was requested by Eleonora.
Although the caduceus is often used to symbolize medicine, historically the caduceus, or staff of Hermes, was the symbol used for trades and commerce, while the official symbol for medicine is the staff of Asclepius, and the cup of Hygeia for pharmacology.
