This Polynesian tattoo for the hip was prepared for Giulia and it represents the importance of family in her life.

Opposing waves in the lower part symbolize difficulties, and the turtle that swims above them shows family as a place of harmony (the Marquesan cross) and union (the braids), stability (the mountains), shelter (the frangipani flowers) and joy (the sun), under the guidance of ancestors.

The chasing birds represent help always granted to the loved ones (the star symbolizes the importance of this aspect) in every new beginning (the koru).
