This Polynesian styled tattoo related to scuba diving was prepared for Philipp to further expand a tattoo on his leg.
To improve the integration and better disguise the upper edge of the existing design, some parts in the center were modified and extended to break the original continuous line.

Waves are on top of everything as the imagery of the tattoo is all underwater, and centrally among the waves there is a stylized international diving flag (with a lizard in it for protection and good luck).
The braid and people represent the union with the people he takes underwater as an instructor, and the extended family of divers.

The sun surrounding a Marquesan cross in the center represents the joy, serenity, and harmony that he gets from diving.

The tiki on the back is for protection, while a shipwreck and a whale shark are on the two sides of the leg.

Rocks and kelp near the shipwreck represent the bottom of the sea, with a shark swimming next to a half buried anchor.
We placed stepping stones close to the anchor as in ancient times stones were used for that purpose.

The whale shark on the other side swims followed by the row of birds representing voyage.
Fish and bonito tail are symbols of prosperity, octopus tentacles of adaptability, and shark teeth were added for protection under water.
