DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

This feminine Polynesian tattoo for the ankle represents Pavla´s family as the central turtle, with her and her husband on the shell between a braid and flax leaves (family union), protecting their two children (the frangipani flowers) under the front flippers (shaped like two protector tiki).

There are waves on one side of the turtle and mountains on the other side (shaping a sun representing joy and eternity) to symbolize the opposite characters that Pavla and her husband have: waves for change and mountains for stability.
That´s why we chose the name "ha´ati´apiti" for this tattoo, as it is used to indicate two winds that blow together from different directions.

The lizard is a protector that can see the unseen, and it reaches out to the frangipani flowers to protect them and bring them good luck.

The row of birds with people along the path symbolizes voyages and friends all along the way, while the flower of hibiscus symbolizes beauty and carpe diem, living every moment fully.

Shark teeth and the octopus tentacle are symbols of adaptability, tenacity, and strength.

The colored legenda below helps identifying the main elements within the tattoo:
