DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

This Polynesian halfsleeve and pec tattoo prepared for Ryan includes elements derived from Asian traditions, like the dragon and the clouds, plus some ideograms woven within the elements, like the seven ideograms for the seven virtues of bushido, each one with Polynesian symbols nearby representing that virtue: ponapona symbolizes union and loyalty, and it´s next to Chu and Makoto (for honesty and loyalty); a sun and people are next to Gi and Jin (for integrity and compassion); the mere (status, respect and honor) is next to Rei and Meiyo, and the spearheads (warrior, strength and courage) are close to Yu.
The seven petals flower symbolizes someone dear to the gods.

The tiki and tiki eyes on the sides bring protection from all sides, as do the lizard and the all-seeing eye.

The net and the braids were added to symbolize community and service to the people, while flax leaves are for family union.

The path of Kamehameha in the past symbolizes all challenges faced on the path to success (the sun), which brought him knowledge and achievements (the stepping stones at the base, on which he built his present life).

On the pec, fish hook and coconut leaves symbolize prosperity, and the chasing birds represent support to the loved ones (the dot nearby remarks importance).
