DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

The turtle is central in this Polynesian armband tattoo for the importance that family has for Joseph, for whom it was prepared, and it includes the names of his children as maorigrams, protected by three tiki looking in all directions.

There are some patterns framing the central part, wrapping the whole arm for their importance: waves for the ocean, a braid for unity, and shark teeth for adaptability and protection.

Other elements are a surfboard and a paddle, a flower of hibiscus (beauty), fish (prosperity), mountains (stability), and chasing birds (support to the loved ones).
