DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:
This feminine Polynesian tattoo that goes on the hip was prepared for Oya.
From bottom to top, the flight of the albatross represents a voyage, started among difficulties (the path of Kamehameha) overcome thanks to unity with family and friends (the turtle and the braid), strength (the arm of tiki and the spearhead) and adaptability (the octopus tentacle).
This leads to a new start (the koru), filled with beauty (the frangipani), living every moment fully (the hibiscus), with joy (the sun).
A lizard is overseeing this as a symbol of good luck, toward a different perspective (the birds) and with a clear direction (the star).
A dog paw was disguised in the hibiscus as the lower petal.
