DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:
Rawahi means "the other side".
This design was requested by Ellie to represent overcoming the loss of a dearest person.
From the tiptoe, turning around the ankle, the meanings are union, life (korus) and family (the flax motif), the change that brought to the loss of the dear one (the counter-facing waves; waves are sometimes uset to represent death too) and the waves starting from a new point, this time along the path, under a protecting eye, finding the strength (shark teeth) to carry on towards a new start (the tiare flower), conciliating new life and memory (frangipani), protected from above. Seagulls symbolize freedom and a new voyage.
