DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

We prepared this Polynesian turtle tattoo for David, incorporating within the shell three animals representing his children, redesigned with Polynesian elements: a tiger, a bear, and a monkey, while the turtle herself is a traveler by sea and a symbol of family.
His wife is symbolized by the plumeria flower (beauty and femininity) surrounded by a braid (unity) and mountains (stability).

The two tiki on the front flippers symbolize protection from all sides, and the hammerhead shark motif that shapes the head of the turtle is for tenacity and strength.

The path of Kamehameha on a back flipper represents a difficult path that leads to success, and the chasing birds on the other one symbolize help that will always be granted to the loved ones.

The colored legenda below helps identifying the individual elements within the tattoo:

That´s a great idea and the book looks fab. I wish there were more animal outlines though... - TatFan, Denver
