Design Story

This Polynesian tattoo of three small turtles is dedicated to Don's three children.

They are designed proportional to their age, with the older brother at the bottom protecting his younger sisters in front of him, and each one includes the initial of their name (all the same size to symbolize equal importance).
They all have a similar head as a common trait to symbolize belonging to the same family.

The brother has tiki hands in it for the protector, and flax leaves for family union. Spearheads symbolize the warrior and the adze is for strong work ethics.

One sister has a fish hook for knowledge, the sun for success, and the mere representing a leader, while the octopus tentacle is for tenacity and adaptability.

The other sister has a flower of plumeria for femininity and a sun for joy and success, the octopus tentacle symbolizes tenacity and adaptability, and the bird with a star in front of it is for setting goals and going for them.

Birds, fish, and mountains complete the tattoo.
