Design Story

This band tattoo for the forearm was designed for Karl, to seamlessly integrate into a full sleeve a 3/4 sleeve tattoo he already had drawn in the same style.

The central turtle has his wife´s name Aimee creating its head and flippers, with the shell made of a braid for family union and enclosing a fish hook for prosperity.

A tiki below the turtle protects it from all adversities (the opposing wave in front of the tiki).

The line of frigates represents voyages and watching the world from a higher perspective.
