Design Story

The general shape of this Celtic tattoo for Nico's shoulder recalls an oak tree, which is a sacred tree to Celts and represents community, strength and endurance, wisdom and knowledge.
Woven in it there is a Celtic-styled Tree of life, a symbol of unity and interconnection, growth and possibility.

The spiral on the pec is also a symbol of growth while the salmon of knowledge is another symbol for wisdom and voyage, representing constant improvement.

On the back, the wolf is a guardian that protects from all evil, guarding Nico's family.

The Tree of life is also woven with a triquetra, a symbol of life, death, and rebirth that represents the cyclicality of life.
It has three leaves to Symbolize Nico's three children, since leaves symbolize new life and renewal and his legacy will continue in them.

The two arms that enclose the tree represent Nico and his wife, keeping the family united and protected, and the dog in the middle is a symbol of loyalty and a nod to their dog and the moments spent together.
