Shark

Design Story

Adam asked the tattoo of a shark featuring some specific elements: the lion-fish representing his rugby team, the Chinese zodiac ideogram for horse, the cancer sign symbol, water as he works offshore.

The tail of the half fish lionĀ is one with the tail of the shark and waves to represent water appear all over the design due to their constant presence.
The back fin of the shark is shaped by a manta (freedom); the left front fin is made of spear heads symbolizing the warrior (being a rugby player is quite that) and another warrior is on the nose of the shark.

The right front fin is made by a stylization of the cancer sign symbol and the chinese ideogram for the horse sign is right above it, making the gills of the shark.
