Design Story

This forearm sleeve tattoo inspired by Australian aboriginal culture and art was designed for Thijs to honor his time spent in Australia.

A baobab is central, with traditional styles animals on the sides like snake, kangaroo, and the rainbow bee eater next to the bee hives.

Other traditional elements around the tree are a honey ants site, waterholes connected by running water, and a campsite with people around it.

Human tracks draw a circle around the design to symbolize the walkabouts of the aboriginals through the outback, with animal tracks like goanna's, kangaroo's, and emu's.

The baobab itself has more tracks in the trunk, and rain placed like branches in the crown.
