Design Story

Artyom took inspiration from one of our designs for a tattoo on his shoulder and has now asked to extend it into a Polynesian styled half sleeve leaping towards his forearm.

On top, around the eagle, the ani ata motif symbolizes the importance of family and ancestors guarding upon it.

The elements forming the armband part of the tattoo below the eagle are a row of shark teeth recalling mountains, together with a row of waves since they´re both important for Artyom.

The spear heads are for the warrior facing the path of Kamehameha to protect the couple and earn knowledge (standing stones) and balance (the Marquesan cross).

Going along the arm downwards there are a killer whale and a manta.
