Design Story

This Polynesian tattoo covering both pecs was prepared for Sergio as part of a bigger project covering also the full back and both arms, integrating some existing tattoos.

A hammerhead shark and a manta are on the right and left pec respectively, protecting the couple in the middle (the bird next to them symbolizes a new perspective on life).
They are surrounded by braids for unity, and by a sun made of mountains for stability and joy, while ancestors are lined on top to bring protection.

Other elements are spearheads representing a warrior nature, coconut leaves for prosperity, and birds for voyages.

The hammerhead shark goes past a path of Kamehameha to symbolize tenacity in facing every challenge in order to reach stability and success (the sun), while the manta has a Marquesan cross within it to symbolize harmony and balance.
Octopus tentacles on the sides symbolize tenacity and adaptability.
