Design Story

Mark´s family is central in this Polynesian manta tattoo for the calf, with him in the middle surrounded by his children (two girls and a boy) and with his wife in front of him to show the mutual support they have for each other.
She has mountains close to her to symbolize she gave stability to the family, while the sun around them all is a symbol of joy, and the two koru a symbol of new start.

Flax leaves symbolize family union, like the braid, while the Marquesan cross is a symbol for harmony, and the waves with fish below symbolize his moments underwater.

The two tiki on the sides protect the family from all directions, the fish hook symbolizes prosperity, and the spearheads represent the warrior, strength and tenacity.
The manta is a symbol of freedom and beauty.
