Fern and koru

Design Story

Manuel asked for a Maori-styled tattoo that meant "rebirth". Maoris associate to the unfolding fern bud, called Koru, to the idea of rebirth and new beginning; we used in this tattoo some stylized versions of the Koru design, and placed an adult fern leaf in the middle, which symbolizes life in its ripeness.

I'm looking for the Maori with the right meaning that I want to express. I saw the drawing and its meaning and it's perfect because it symbolizes rebirth in adulthood. I'd like to include a shark to add meaning. Please help me, I have an immense desire to express what I am feeling with a Maori. Thanks Reply!!
