Gilda

Future, opposites |February 05, 2010

Design Story

Gilda requested a woman´s face that had fire and water woven into her hair.

We interpreted the union of these two opposite elements as a representation of balance, and of the fact that everyone has opposites in themselves, which have to be balanced to find the right path.

The hair is waving ahead to symbolize future, and her eyes are closed because, as the Little Prince sain in the homonymous book: "Essential is invisible to the eyes. It can be clearly seen only by the heart".

A curiosity: a picture of Gilda was the base for the woman´s face.
