Design Story
The turtle is central and swimming toward the future, with a str in
front as family will always be a fixed point for him.
Inside the turtle, surrounded by braids for union, there is the couple
and their children, with their initials disguised in the tattoo.
The adze and the mere represent work and respect, taught by his parents
who appear on the sides of the turtle together with Enrico's siblings.
A manaia next to the turtle represent a guardian spirit, and the maorigram below is a quote that helped Enrico facing the adversities represented by the thorns and the faatigipusa along the challenging path (the path of Kamehameha and the row of birds) that leads to a new balance and harmony (the Marquesan cross).
Tiki and all-seeing eye protect the family on all sides, and the lizard symbolizes good luck and health.
Fish represent prosperity and the stones at the base symbolize all he learnt along the way.
Mountains on top are the stability at the end of the voyage.
