Design Story

This Polynesian tattoo for the shoulder was prepared for Simon, and it has a turtle in the center to symbolize the importance of family: on the shell the couple is protecting and nurturing two children below (on the front flippers there are a tiki for protection and a penguin for nurturing).
The four members are joined by braids, which symbolize family unity.

The checkered pattern close to the turtle is a symbol of love and protection, and the sun made of mountains and shark teeth is for joy and eternity.

The all-seeing eye guards the back and protects the family on their voyages (the row of birds) with some of the destinations disguised among the stepping stones next to them.

The Marquesan cross was used to symbolize home, as a place of harmony and balance, and some initials are included next to it.
