Rebirth, hope |June 23, 2009

Design Story

This design was requested by Antonello to represent the earthquake that struck his hometown, and the will of his town to be reborn from its ruins like a phoenix from its fire.

This eagle recalls the symbol of the town, and it´s flying with spread wings in the sun as a promise of rebirth.

The sun symbolizes hope and rebirth, and the white heather symbolizes good luck and "dreams will come true".

The books among the ruins are in memory of the students that lost their lives under the fallen Students House.
