Design Story

Mario is a surfer, and a fan of the old school 10´6 board that is the subject of this tattoo he requested.

The tiki in the middle is a symbol of protection, and the three fingers represent balance between sky, earth and water (motifs of the wind and sun are also present above the tiki, whereas the waves motifs run all along the profile of the surfboard).

The fish hook, or matau, is a symbol of prosperity, and the turtle symbolizes here the traveller.
