Design Story
This Maori styled lizard tattoo was created as part of a series of designs related to the theme of protection, which are freely available for download as a bonus book in our designs series: PROTECTION - Bonus book free download.
The lizard is considered a messenger of the gods, being able to see invisible things, which can bring good luck or teachings.
We "carved" out of the lizard´s body a double koru and a hammerhead shark motif to symbolize the couple and tenacity.
Other motifs symbolize union, strength and adaptability.
