Design Story

This Maori styled armband with Samoan elements was requeste by Alfredo. The turtle in the middle, with twist-like fins, represents family and friends, and their importance (the sun); the warriors on both sides for protection have a mere in their hands, a short cub that now symbolizes facing difficulties and overcoming them. Fish hooks are for wealth and abundance upon earth (mountains, palms) an on the sea (waves). The manaia in the middle of the turtle´s shell is the guardian angel that protects family and friends. The stylized motif of the hammerhead shark.
