The phoenix is a mythical bird that, according to the legend, dies in fire when it gets old to be born young again from its ashes . It´s on this account a symbol of rebirth and eternity. Originally the phoenix was associated to the sun, dieing every night in the fire of the sunset to be born again on the following day.
