The sun itself is a symbol of ciclicity and eternity, as its birth - death - rebirth cycle, which actually started the myth of the phoenix, has been repeating unchanged for unnumbered millennia.
The Celtic triskell is another symbol of eternity, and one its most used meanings is just the birth - death - rebirth cycle.
We made the triskell using three korus, or unfolding fern fronds because, in fact, the koru symbolizes to Maori people a new beginning, a new life.
