Drawing this scorpion we used broken lines on purpose in order to comunicate a feeling of non linearity, interruption since the sting of the scorpion breaks in and brings discontinuity.

This stylized scorpion is part of the "minimals" series (full series here), which tries to represent the essence of animals through a few simple lines.
