Design Story

This small Maori kirituhi style manta tattoo was prepared for Sandra and it represents the mother-daughter bond they share.

The manta symbolizes beauty and freedom and it includes a double koru representing parent/child, and we added a frangipani for femininity.

A braid was included for unity, the tauira pattern (children and learning) represents the mother teaching and guiding her daughter, and a spearhead in the tail is for protection.

The simpler version below was adapted for a very small size:
