Design Story

This design was requested by Natalie as an armband to represent her rebirth. From left to right: the two morey eels symbolize two bad spirits she faced, throwing her into an innerbound spiral from which she only got out with her own strength (the shark teeth above and below the eels, getting bigger), and the help of her guardian angel (the manaia), who keeps them at bay.

These changes for the better (proceeding waves) brought back beauty (frangipani flower) and freedom (manta) in her life (the sun surrounding the lotus flower, which symbolizes defeating every adversity to bloom over them, and perfection). The fish hook represents her renewed prosperity and the tiki guards her from her old enemies, now blocked by manaia and tiki not to harm her anymore.
