Design Story

This design is based on a request by Fabio: a strong symbol representing resistence able to overtake any adversity.

That´s why we chose the dragon, a symbol of power and steadfast strength, developed around the Adinkra symbol HYE WONHYE, which means "which can not be burnt" and indicates immortality and lasting.

The two smaller versions are intended to suggest the introduction of the red colour in this tattoo, a colour which reinforces the idea of strength in the chinese dragon. In Asia the red colur is in fact associated with happyness, luck, and strength too.
