Design Story

We called this turtle Pumahara, which means memory, because it was requested by Ben to remember a dear friend, Jason, whose name is written on the bottom side of the turtle“s shell.

In the middle the sun rises above the clouds, to symbolize the nature of Jason, who passed over difficulties always smiling, easy going, and the wind and waves motifs on the inside represent their shared passion for surfing and travelling. Waves are also a symbol of continuity through change.
