Design Story

Thalys requested this tattoo of a manta representing his family, with their family crest nearby.

We incorporated into the manta a hammerhead shark representing Thalys and his tenacity and determination in improving himself towards success (the sun) and prosperity (the fish hook).
Mantas represent freedom, voyage and beauty.

A turtle on the pec represents his future family, with a koru to symbolize new life.

The moray eel and path of Kamehameha symbolize a difficult path started with a painful event, faced with courage and fortitude.

The family crest was redesigned using a tiki and a stylized flower recreates its shield.

Other elements represent his parents and how they were and still are present in his life.
