A butterfly is a symbol of rebirth and transformation.
The change that makes the caterpillar, earth bound, become a crysalis and then a butterfly, makes this symbol a valid metaphor of the soul, which is born again in its full glory after being freed by material bonds.
Butterflies also represent beauty and delicacy.
A small feminine and delicate butterfly was requested by Benedetta. If inked small, the second version will fit better.
