Design Story

This kirituhi small dragonfly tattoo inspired by Maori traditions was prepared for Diane.

It represents the union of feminine (the double koru on a wing) and masculine energy (the mangōtipi, or hammerhead shark, on the other wing) and the connection with her ancestors (the bird followed by pakura for descent).

The twist shaped like a fish hook symbolizes eternal bond and prosperity.
