Design Story
The frog is an important symbol in many cultures.
The croaking of frogs at the end of the cold season foretells the return of the season of harvests, the renewal of earth after Winter is over, and thus frogs symbolize fertility and new life.
Mariah requested this design because she has got recently married, and these are things that perfectly suit marriage.
In detail, the motif on the frog´s back , or ipu, is a symbol of fertility, and the double spiral below represents eternity and union.
Shark teeth symbolize strength and adaptability.
