Design Story

The sun and moon of this Polynesian style tattoo designed for Daniel are two tiki that protect his daughters represented by two plumeria flowers.

The sun tiki also represents him guiding and teaching the new generations, symbolized by the people around him, led through the challenges of the path of Kamehameha on a voyage toward a higher perspective upon life (the frigate birds).
The inner sun around the tiki is for joy.

Spearheads represent the warrior, strength and tenacity, while shark teeth are for adaptability and strength.

The lokahi symbol represents harmony with nature and spirits, while fish and fish hook are in memory of fishing with his father.
