Design Story

This Polynesian tattoo for the calf is a redesign that Alessandro asked of a tattoo we previously prepared for his pec to represent the bond between him and his daughter, symbolized by the warrior holding his daughter up inside a sun made of coconut leaves (prosperity).

The killer whale, with enata upside down below her, symbolizes how he will always protect her from any enemy and danger while the two chasing birds within a braid underline their union and the support he will always grant to her.

Spearheads and octopus tentacles symbolize strength and tenacity to face any challenge (the path of Kamehameha) while the standing stones at the base are for all the things learnt and achieved, which are the foundation of his present life.

Waves represent life and change, the adze is a symbol for skills, and shark teeth are for adaptability and protection.
