Design Story

This half sleeve tattoo was designed for Nicola and it represents his family: the family of birth and the new one (the couple symbol on the turtle´s shell).

His father is represented by a manaia on the back of the shoulder, guarding upon and protecting them, while his mother is represented by the flower of frangipani with an ipu supporting the turtle, surrounded by a sun for positivity and joy (traits she shares with Nicola).

The hammerhead shark symbolizes tenacity and the warrior spirit used to face every difficulty to reach where they are now.
