Design Story

Tiara means traveller in Maori language. Roberto requested a lizard shaped Maori styled tattoo that would include several elements from his personal experiences and travels: the lizard is a symbol of good luck, the fern symbolizes a happy and serene life, the turtle is the navigator and the manta means elegance and beauty and gives protection over the sea. The lizard“s eyes were made using a motif from Namibia, the hands inspire to the rock paintings of the "Cueva de las manos" in Patagonia, and the stars on the tail come from the flag of Alaska.

The fish hook shaped tail is an omen of wealth and prosperity.
