Design Story

This legband tattoo designed for Stefanie covers an existing tattoo.

Coverups can be tricky, and even more using Polynesian tattoos. The choice of the Marquesan style allows some solid areas that help with covering the underlying design, but it´s important to shape the new tattoo to follow the old design as closely as possible to avoid big black areas that would leave the tattoo unbalanced or too dark.
Doing it while using meaningful elements is the tricky part, which we love.
Here for example, this is how the new tattoo covers part of the old one:

The elements that we used represent death and life, protection, prosperity and union.
The star is a symbol of direction and favor from the gods.
