Design Story

Francois requested this tattoo of a Polynesian styled rooster to honour his French origins and the place where he lives now, French Polynesia.

The bold look of the rooster, ready to face any challenge life gives him, is supported by the spear heads motif (the warrior), by shark teeth (adaptability and strength) and octopus tentacles (resilience and tenacity).

Waves and koru symbolize changes and two new beginnings, one in the past and one in the future.
Fish are symbols of prosperity and chasing birds represent the help that will always be granted to the loved ones.

The tiki shaping the body of the rooster is a protection symbol that guarantees stability and freedom (the mountains in front of it which shape a manta ray).
