Design Story

This tattoo is part of a triptych, a series of three tattoos requested by Francesco to symbolize a path, both real on his skin and ideal, from earth to sky.

This turtle (family, voyager) insists on the idea of protection (the shell shapes a tiki face) towards the others: the enata on the shell representing his closest ones, further extended to everyone (the human figures on the right flipper and another pair of chasing birds on the left one).

The sea shells symbolize love and safe shelter while the ipu is a symbol of femininity and fertility.

On the flippers there are elements for prosperity: fish on the right flipper and a fish hook on the left one.
