Design Story

The tattoo prepared for Massimiliano was shaped like a gecko as a symbol of health.

From the tip of the tail to the head it represents the difficult path he faced, starting with a moray eel (illness).

To face it, the hammerhead shark (made by spear heads, warrior, tenacity and strength) is joined and supported by family (flax leaves) and friends (the enata).

In the head, a stylized turtle represents family as a fixed presence with the shell shaped by an all seeing eye as a protection from all evil, like the tiki on a leg.
