Design Story

Andrea requested this manta ray tattoo to represent a path that brought to a great change.

The manta symbolizes freedom and it includes elements representing his life: the turtle (family, with a tiki and a braid on its shell symbolizing protection and unity) is centrall between his two souls designed on the wings of the manta: friends on the left with fish for prosperity, and a sun with a dot on the right to symbolize serenity also when alone.

The turtle´s front flippers resemble a frigate to symbolize travels, like the stylized birds in the tail of the manta.

The koru represents the new beginning that leads to increasing success (the stones getting bigger on its side). Waves close the wing for his passion for the ocean.
