DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:
The turtle usually represents the navigator, and family. The tiki and te manaia on the turtle shell represent a person that was lost to the family, but who will be a guardian angel and protector for the four ones that are still together. Each of them is represented by a spot on each fin, symbolizing that even if each of them will find his own island, they will still remain together as a family. The fish hook forming the turtle´s head is a wish for abundance and wealth.
