DESCRIPTION AND MEANING:

This Maori styled armband was requested by Elia; inside of it are an owl (knowledge), a lizard (luck, life), waves (or ngaru, symbolizing continuity through change) and the maorigram of a name.

For the eyes of the owl, a bird sacred to Native Americans also on account of his ability to see in darkness, we used the motif of the all-seeing eye, which is a strong protection amulet.

As a wish for great luck we placed inside the lizard a second lizard, traditionally styled.
